Our new Rucksack has been designed specifically for the traveling fly fisher – not just another rucksack, sold by fly fishing companies!

The thick, contoured back panel and adjustable, padded shoulder straps, allow full loads to be carried in comfort, all day, but the slim-line design of the shoulder straps allows you to fish in comfort, with the bag on. The back panel & shoulder straps are lined with an air-mesh material to allow air circulation to keep you cool. There is a large, padded, adjustable hip-belt, which can be tucked away in its own storage pocket when not required.

A covered double zip gives easy access to the large main compartment. This is constructed using a heavy duty 0.35mm 420 Denier Dobby Polyester fabric, with PVC backing, making this a ‘dry’ compartment, for clothes & valuables. It has a large insulated rear pocket, which will take a hydration system, if required (not supplied). All the remaining pockets on the rucksack are constructed from 210 Denier diamond rip-stop, ballistic nylon, with a double PVC backing to keep it waterproof. In addition the outer fabric has a DWR (Durable Water Resistant) coating to prevent water absorption.

In front of the main compartment is a ‘wet’ compartment, designed to take a wet waterproof or wading jacket. This is an expandable pocket with mesh side gussets for venting, a drain eyelet at the bottom and two side adjustable compression straps.

Attached to the front of this is a further zipped pocket with an inner zipped mesh pocket and a webbing strap with a key-clip on the end to keep car keys secure.

There are 2 zipped ‘tunnel’ pockets, one on each side. These pockets  can store additional gear such as fly boxes, but the ‘tunnel’ design doubles up to hold Rod tubes securely. The bases of the tubes are then located in 2-way adjustable mesh pockets, which can also be used to hold a drinks bottle - held by means of an elasticated bungee & toggle-lock.

On the outside of the Rucksack are D-rings for attaching a landing net, a bungee system for securing other items, base load straps for a bedroll etc and a top moulded carry handle.

All features helping make this a truly multi-function rucksack, ideal for an extended fly fishing/trekking holiday.
