While many Rio products focus on the technical challenges of specific fishing situations, Rio's Mainstream fly lines are targeted on the overall needs of most fly fishers.

Mainstream fly lines are designed to optimize rod performance, with shorter heads and tapers to ensure performance under almost any conditions. A complete set of mainstream lines is available to find fish at any depth.

Floating Fly Line
Designed to optimize rod performance at normal casting ranges. The Mainstream floating lines have a supple self-lubricating coating that remains memory-free in cold water. The smooth, self-lubricating coating improves casting distance whilst the shorter tapers assist with tight loops and positive turnover.

Sink Tip Fly Line
A 12ft Type 3 sink tip with a shorter head configuration for positive loading and increased distance. The Mainstream Sink Tip utilises a slightly thicker floating to help turn over the 12' sink tip smoothly.

Intermediate and Sinking Fly Line
The intermediate and medium (Type 3) sinking lines on the unique Mainstream taper will meet all the angler's needs where controlled depth is needed in fresh or saltwater.
